Досліджується питання прийнятності дефіциту поточного рахунку (ПР) в контексті забезпечення зовнішньої стійкості. Наголошується на важливості утримання дефіциту ПР на прийнятному рівні, розкривається його роль у запуску фінансових криз. Оцінено прийнятні рівні сальдо ПР в історичному періоді та в середньостроковій перспективі для України
