ABSTRACT ▼
The article provides an analysis of socio-economic consequences and prospects of the modernization of Rus-sia’s agrarian sector. Based on the theory social mechanisms, the author considers the modernization as a so-cial process of innovative transformations, and emphasizes the assessment of the rate of unemployment, pov-erty and the change of socio-economic stratification of the rural population. Based on the rich previous experi-ence of research on agrarian relations in Russia, she provides her own view of the development prospects of Russia’s agriculture and justifies mechanisms to attain the objectives of the development
