Assets index method as an alternative approach to measuring well being in Ukraine

The article is devoted to well being assessment in Ukraine basing on the concept of infra-structural poverty and assets index method. The article’s objective consists in the con-struction of a unified one-measure equivalent to the multi-measure assets vector, so called assets index’, which allows ranging the household according to their well being level. The authors present the methodology of the construction of the index based on the analysis of the main components and provide the obtained results (Lorentz curves and their numerical equivalents – Gini coefficients).
