The results of research are the elaboration of models for macroeconomic preconditions and process of transition from solidarity-based pension system to an accumulative one; analysis of interrelations between separate units and model indexes; and realization of scenario-based calculations. Results of forecast indexes of pensions provision according to the new scheme were generalized; and recommendations were justified on the ways to implement a pension reform in Ukraine.

The author considers a method of forecasting the pay-roll fund necessary to raise the wages of the employed in the economy and in the budget-funded sector in 2005-2006, with the wages' gradual catch-up with the subsistence level. She determines the forecast's assumptions, scenarios and feasibility conditions. There are forecasts estimates of the increase in the pay-roll fund of employed in the budget-funded sector. The author determines limits, conditions and consequences of such increase for macroeconomic situation in Ukraine and justifies the ways to increase wages as an internal factor of economic growth

The authors propose a technique for short-term forecasting of tax revenues from natural person incomes expected with the increase in average monthly wages of employed in the economy and in its budget-funded sector in 2005–2006 in the context of the gradual bridging of the gap between minimum wage and subsistence level. The trends of the real growth rates of the GDP, of productivity and wages per employee and of aver-age monthly salary in Ukraine for a long period of time (1990–2010) are evaluated in this article. The author makes comparative analysis of labor productivity and wages per one employee on the basis of the data on purchasing power parity in Ukraine and in other countries during the pre-crisis period. He justifies the measures to bring the levels of labor productivity and compensation per employee in Ukraine closer to those of the industrialized and new EU member countries

The article generalizes the tendencies and specific features in the development of Ukraine’s consumer market. The author defines the macroeconomic factors of instability, which have affected this country’s GDP (by final use categories) structure. She analyzes the following disproportions in the development of Ukraine’s consumer mar-ket: those caused by the insufficient development of the investment market for the production of consumer goods, those between the households’ expenses and their disposable incomes, those caused by the contradic-tions between the households’ final consumption expenses by purpose and the national supply of goods and services, and those caused by the uneven price growth.
